Theatre aficionados are all aflutter at the news that Daisy Eagan will be coming back to the Rialto, in a manner of speaking. The Tony Award-winner is coming to perform her one woman show, "Still Daisy After All These Years," on Monday March 28th for a late show starting at 9:30.
Eagan will be headlining the Laurie Beechman Theatre at The West Bank Café on 42nd Street. Those interested in dining before the show should know, in addition to the ticket price, there is a $15 food/beverage minimum.
"Still Daisy After All These Years" promises to give fans access to "everything you ever wanted to know about Daisy Eagan but were afraid to ask." In these tell-all days of scandalous memoirs and ancient starts glittering for a moment on cable-reality TV, it's amazing that there even is anything we don't already know that we'd wanted to know.
Still the theatre set's a different bunch and this show sounds like a classic one-woman tell-all. From her earliest days to her greatest triumphs, Still Daisy After All These Years promises to entertain.
This show will also likely sell out. Theatre performers will hang out much longer than they say they will if the demand is high enough (how many times have we seen Nathan Lane come back for one more lap?) so if you get your tickets soon enough you should be set. If you don't, call up and harangue the box office. A mystical block of tickets for an as-yet unannounced extension could magically appear.
